Estonian Chess Federation organized three international tournaments : GM-norm tournament (August 30 - September 4) with 10 players, IM-norm tournament (August 30 - September 4) with 10 players and Open tournament for everybody.

GM tournament : 1. IM Meelis Kanep (EST) 6,5 p, 2.-3. GM Normunds Miezis and GM Edvins Kengis (both LAT) 6p, 4.-5. GM Kaido Kulaots (EST) and IM Ilmars Starostits (LAT) 5,5p, 6. IM Tarvo Seeman (EST) 5p, 7. GM Mihhail Rytshagov (EST) 4p, 8. IM Vladimir Zavoronkov (EST) 3p, 9. IM Artem Smirnov (RUS) 2p, 10. Rainer Raud (EST) 1,5p

IM tournament : 1.-2. GM Igor Shvyrjov (EST) and IM Oleg Krivonosov (LAT) 6 p, 3.-4. FM Ular Lauk (EST) and Airidas Savickas (LTU) 5,5p, 5.-6. IM Sergei Zjukin and Vitali Shlykov (both EST) 4,5p, 7.-8. FM Jaan Narva (EST) and Henrikas Asauskas (LTU) 4p, 9. FM Joel Akesson (SWE) 3,5p, 10. Vjatsheslav Syskov (EST) 1,5p.

IM Meelis Kanep fulfilled third times GM-norm, hopefully FIDE will approve this and then Estonia has five GM-s, still now we have four : Jaan Ehlvest, Kaido Kulaots, Mihhail Rytshagov and Igor Shvyrjov.
