Paul Keres Memorial Festival is quite young tournament in Estonia. First event was held in 2004 summer.
It continued with rapid tournament, where also played Viswanathan Anand himself. Next tournament
was held in August - September 2005. This event is one of the very few tournaments in Estonia, where
Estonian players can fulfil GM and IM norms. Second is Estonian Men Championship, but its not regular
for fulfilling norms.
This time has added also WGM group for women. Hopefully our festival will become traditional. And
it isn't only for Estonian players, but also for our closest neighbours helping to bring more life and
colours to their chess life.
